Shenandoah Valley Abolitionist

Mission: To glorify God by raising awareness to the issue of human trafficking.

Vision: To glorify God by showing our community and world how to fight and end human trafficking once and for all.

Slavery is not just a part of history. It happens today in every country in the world including the United States. The Shenandoah Valley Abolitionists, a ministry of Grace Community Church, is an anti-human trafficking group that exists to fight this issue. We need and want your help for this battle.

All people are made in God’s image and deserve to be treated with the dignity that goes with that blessing. To get involved or questions please contact Ryan Melcher at ryan@gracecommunity.com.
Fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. Fight human trafficking!

January Film Night

Saturday January 28th at 7pm The Shenandoah Valley Abolitionists will be having their first film night showing the documentary, Invisible Children. Afterwards there will be a follow-up discussion panel with a World Vision representative just returning from Northern Uganda and several Winchester area residents who have served in parts of both Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Invisible Children documents the story of children being abducted and turned into child soldiers by the Lord’s Resistance Army. Out of fear of being abducted these children walk miles every night to places of refuge. This film follows a group of these children and tells their stories.

Due to the subject matter of this film parental discretion is strongly advised. For questions please contact Ryan Melcher at Ryan@gracecommunity.com.
